Main Strut

ASDAC CNC Machining Ltd., a local manufacturer, required a solid model of an aircraft strut for creation of a CNC milling program to enable them to reproduce the strut for a client. IMW reverse engineered the strut from a sample to get the data required to build the model. ASDAC was then able to load the model into their  software to generate the code necessary for the CNC machining center to cut the part.

This particular piece is quite large at over 50” long with some complex compound angled faces and needed to be exact as it is used to support the floats on a float equipped aircraft.
